I am a Budapest-based textile artist creating large-scale works using a self-developed textile dyeing technique combined with batik and natural materials.
My work explores the relationship between the human figure, movement and organic forms. I am interested in what happens when drawing, colour and textile cease to behave as separate elements and become a single surface.
The process itself is central to my work. I work on cotton canvas through successive stages of dyeing, treating and batik-based interventions. The final ironing and steaming process transforms the textile into a firm, self-supporting surface while preserving its material character.
Each work is made by hand and exists as a single original.
